Special Dogs

Yankee started our love of working dogs and field work. He was a glorious combination of English and American show lines. Through him we met a wonderful group of Field Trialers who were nothing but encouraging with our talented but obvious show-bred dog.

Yankee is gone over the Rainbow Bridge. We imagine him chasing pheasants to his hearts content. He will never be forgotten.

Rowdy taught us about drive, heart and what a dog with an incredible nose can do. He is a very driven dog who can be a bit of an independent contractor :-)! Rowdy was sold to a wonderful family in Wisconsin where he has sired a couple of litters and is their house dog.

Heather wasn't the first of our Field Breds but she is the one that taught us just how special a working dog can be. She did everything asked of her and did it with style and heart. Her favorite place to run was the grounds where the Missouri Headwaters Club holds their Spring trial. True hunting cover that suited her just fine. She completed the 2008 Amateur National receiving a CM for her efforts. One of the judges remarked about her heart. Heather is retired and now lives in Utah with a wonderful family. She has her own kids to throw tennis balls for her :-).

Luna is an incredibly talented dog who has that bird addiction that keeps her on the edge. She was leased by Jason Givens, Lighthouse Kennels, for a litter. She dutifully presented him with 12 puppies :-)! From what Jason has said she was an extraodinary dam to the puppies. It will be fun to see how they develop.

Gwynn Gwynn's time with us was too short. She was a beautiful, loving puppy who tried hard to do everything we asked her to do. Unfortunately her body wasn't able to hold up and she succumbed to seizures on August 30, 2010. She is missed every day. Play and enjoy your new body sweetheart you deserve only the best.
